2023: COB Marine Consortium wins Versalis contract for “Polystyrene Mechanical Recycling” project in Porto Marghera, Italy

The COB Marine scarl Consortium is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract with Versalis to implement the innovative “Polystyrene Mechanical Recycling” project, which will be built at the Porto Marghera industrial site.

The project aims to build a state-of-the-art plant for the treatment and recovery of polystyrene, a material that is notoriously difficult to recycle. This initiative is an important step forward in promoting circular economy practices and sustainable waste management, helping to valorize materials otherwise destined for landfill.

The Porto Marghera plant will be a benchmark for future mechanical recycling technologies and fits perfectly into the vision of more responsible and sustainability-oriented industrial development.
